How to Choose the Right Paper and Finishing for Your Prints
How to Choose the Right Paper and Finishing for Your Prints

Choosing the right paper and finishing is key to making your prints look professional, polished, and aligned with your brand.

When it comes to printing, design is just the beginning. The type of paper and finishing you choose plays a crucial role in the overall look, feel, and impression of your printed materials. At Printupz, we provide a curated selection of materials tailored to various printing needs—whether you're creating flyers, booklets, name cards, or money packets. Here’s a quick guide to help you select the most suitable option:

Paper Types Available at Printupz

  • Art Paper – 120gsm and 150gsm
A smooth, semi-gloss paper commonly used for marketing materials.                                                                                                        120gsm: Lightweight and cost-effective, ideal for mass-distributed flyers.                                                                                                150gsm: Thicker and more premium, suitable for flyers, brochures, inner booklet pages, and money packets.
  • Art Card – 260gsm
A rigid and durable material perfect for name cards and invitations. Compatible with gloss or matte lamination for a refined finish.
  • Art Carton – 230gsm
Best used for booklet covers, offering solid structure and durability. Available with optional gloss or matte lamination.
  • HVS Paper – 100gsm
Uncoated, matte surface that is easy to write on. Recommended for forms, internal documents, or booklets that require handwriting.

Finishing Options

  • Glossy Finish
Provides a shiny surface and enhances color vibrancy—suitable for designs that aim to stand out.
  • Matte Finish
Delivers a smooth, non-reflective look with a more subtle and professional tone.

Note: Finishing is optional. Art Paper already has a slight glossy effect even without additional lamination.
